A Fusion of Styles

I am Deborah Kovacs-Sturdevant, a professional polymer clay and mixed media artist based in Cincinnati, Ohio. My work blends Gothic, Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Modern, and Mexican folk-art styles, creating unique, storytelling art.

Handcrafted Art that Tells a Story

Step into a world where creativity knows no bounds and every piece has a story to tell. Deb is a lifelong artist whose passion for visual storytelling and mixed media has evolved over decades. With an eye for detail and a drive to explore new mediums, her work blends traditional techniques with modern innovation to produce striking, one-of-a-kind creations.

The Artistic Journey

Her artistic journey began with drawing, painting, ceramics, sewing, and fiber arts—but her creative spirit truly found its voice in polymer clay. In 2019, her work expanded into mixed media art, incorporating advanced clay techniques, layered textures, and unexpected materials.

Where Innovation Meets Handcrafted Art

Today, she pushes boundaries by blending digital and physical mediums. Using AI-generated images printed on water-soluble paper, she transfers and paints them onto polymer clay, giving each artwork a layered, multidimensional feel. Vintage finds, reclaimed materials, and meaningful symbols often make their way into her pieces, enriching them with character and depth.

Whether you’re drawn to wearable art or fine mixed media, Deb’s creations are made to spark emotion and invite curiosity.
