DESCRIPTION:One of my pieces was chosen for the Storied: Narrative Art Exhibition at Artlink in Ft. Wayne\, Indiana. The name of the piece is “The Wailing Soul – Anxiety Monsters” and is polymer clay and collage artwork. \nNarrative artwork is that which tells a story. Whether it be a personal experience\, a historical happening\, or an imagined tale… narrative artwork brings us together in a shared experience of curiosity and interpretation. It allows artists to communicate directly to the viewer\, pulling them into a moment in time or a sequence of events. \nArtlink Contemporary Gallery is a non-profit creative art space and gallery supporting artists through exhibition\, education and community engagement in Fort Wayne\, IN since 1978. \nThe gallery is open Thursdays through Sundays. DESCRIPTION:Rooms of Grief is an exhibition exploring the emotional spaces we move through when loss reshapes our world. \n\nKennedy Heights Art Center presents Rooms of Grief\, an exhibition that invites artists to explore the spaces we inhabit when loss rearranges our world. Each “room” becomes a metaphor\, where silence\, memory\, and renewal coexist. This exhibition seeks work that interprets grief not only as sorrow\, but as transformation\, revealing the textures\, colors\, and shapes of what remains and what begins again. \nMy piece Grief – Coming out of the Dark has been chosen as part of this juried exhibition. Healing from grief is like walking out of a dark\, ominous forest into the light of love and hope. I symbolically used the butterfly because the butterfly symbolizes transformation\, hope\, resilience\, and spiritual reconnection. The woman is reaching out for hope\, following the butterflies into the light.
